Tyre Safety Month 2016October is Tyre Safety Month and your business can get involved. Tyre Safety Month’s aim is to promote awareness of the importance of tyre care and maintenance through how to’s, campaigns and local events.

Tyre Safe has been running for 10 years and has now been awarded charitable status for the work it has been doing for road safety in the UK.

WHY IS TYRE SAFETY SO IMPORTANT?

You should check your tyres every couple of weeks (including the spare) to look out for cuts, wear and tear and to ensure the tread is within the legal limits.  Treads should be at 3mm (legal limit is 1.6mm but best not to leave it to the last minute!)  If they’re in bad condition, get them changed.

Tyres are the only part of your car that is in contact with the road. So their maintenance and care will keep you and other road users safer.
